There are a very few, if any, points in a child’s life where a parent is more proud than sitting out in a crowded auditorium during her first dance recital. The parent is the loudest to cheer and clapping faster and harder than anyone in the stadium. And why shouldn’t they? This is a pivotal memory that will stay with them for the rest of their lives! This is why it is vital to make certain that every aspect of this wonderful occasion goes perfectly smooth. One way to achieve this is through the dancewear that you choose for your child. There are a number of particular issues that must be addressed when making this decision. The first is that of comfort. Your child has never stood before an audience before. They will be more than nervous enough without having to worry about the issue of itchy dancewear. Make sure that the garment you choose is very soft. The second factor to be considered is a good fit. If dancewear is too tight, it will be distracting. If, however, it is too loose, the child will be continuously be pulling and tugging at it, restricting his or her movements throughout the dance. Lastly, there is the look. Since this is such an important moment
in the child’s life, give them a bit of say so in picking
out their dancewear. Do not give them one hundred percent authority,
but let them voice their opinions on color and style. It will only
make the moment more special.
